An annual favorite of youth at Shallowford is our trip nto the Montreat Youth Conference where our youth have the opportunity to join together with other young people from all over the country for a week of study, worship, and recreation. A typical day includes morning energizers, keynote speakers, music, small group discussion, recreation, and worship.

          The conferences for youth at Montreat Conference Center model true Christian commitment and community. Our young people who attend are both challenged and comforted. They leave empowered, encouraged, and encircled by new friends. Likewise, the leaders who attend with them begin to see their connectedness with the greater church and the vast community of Christ. They take home the tools they need to expand the Montreat experience into the everyday lives of their young people.

           This trip is available to all high school students, entering high school freshmen through graduated high school seniors. Our next journey to Montreat will be   July 17-23, 2011.
